UNIFA PROGRAMS & EVENTS





On January 28, 2017, 225 high school students from 6 area schools attended 
Open House at UNIFA. The admissions process, study opportunities and 
UNIFA mission of excellence and commitment to inclusion were discussed. 



Dr. Soraya Mendez, (not seen in photo) UNIFA's coordinator of Mobile Clinics (Klinik Mobil) 
coordinated the mobile clinic serving hundreds of local families on December 23, 2016 at the Aristide Foundation for Democracy. A team of over 35 volunteer physicians were assisted 
by155 UNIFA medical and nursing students



On December 15, 2016, UNIFA's Masters Program in Political Science and Law
hosted attorney Brian Concannon Jr. to discuss recent developments with regard 
to the tragic introduction of the deadly disease cholera to Haiti by UN troops. 

Students living far from Haiti's capital are provided dormitory space.
Visiting professors  have faculty residence space.

UNIFA students, faculty and administration participate in clinic and mobile clinic
days serving hundreds of persons with free medical care and medicines.

Special lectures are well attended and students have the opportunity to ask questions  of guest lecturers



Students also learn through specialized conferences held at UNIFA presented
by prominent universities, human rights organizations, lawyers, etc.

Students use UNIFA's lab. An anatomy lab was just constructed and will open in the near future.

UNIFA students enjoy sports on the UNIFA campus.
